Sadradin Aini Monument
Sadradin Aini Monument is located on the city’s main square of the same name. The monument was erected in 1978, to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the writer. The monument is surrounded by the characters of the writer`s works. The construction is made of bronze. The monument to this outstanding man was installed for the services to Soviet and Tajik literature, in which development he made a tremendous contribution as a writer, poet, author of novels, poems, scientific articles, journalistic essays. Aini is widely known as the founder of modern Tajik literature, he created his works not only in Tajik, but also in Uzbek and Russian languages. Some of his works were translated into other languages. Aini was the first to assemble the anthology of the Tajik national works called The Samples of Tajik Literature.
