Tajik Museum of Ethnography
Tajik Museum of Ethnography fulfills collecting, storing and promotion of collections that characterize the culture and life of Tajik people, their social relationships and social systems at various stages of history. The museum building was constructed in 1934. The museum houses one of the largest collections in all Central Asia, which today totals about 15 thousand exhibits. There are pottery, carpets, jewelry, musical instruments and clothing from all regions of Tajikistan in the museum.
