Bekhzod Museum of Regional History and Fine Art

National Museum of Regional History and Fine Art of Tajikistan was established in 1934 and named after the Persian artist Kamoliddin Behzod, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of Central Asian medieval miniatures and is considered the founder of the school of miniature Mashriq. There are four exposition departments in the museum: Department of Antiquities, Department of Ancient and Medieval History, Department of the New and Latest History, Department of Fine Arts and Nature, which total about 50000 items. They include archaeological, ethnographic exhibits, works of embroidery, embossing and many other exhibits that reflect centuries-old history of Tajikistan.
